MBBS, MS Orth, DNB Orth, MRCS Ed, FRCS Trauma & Orth Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon (Certificate of completion of Training – UK, Sept 2013)________________________________________ Personal Statement I have completed my primary medical training at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, in MUMBAI, INDIA and subsequently my MS Orthopaedic training at JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College, standing 1st in Mumbai University in the MS exam. Subsequent to coming to UK, I rapidly progressed onto a training Specialist Registrar post in Manchester deanery, (Northwest Orthopedic Rotation) and getting my certificate of completion of training (CCT) in 2013.I have harnessed my interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics from a very early stage in my Orthopaedic career, having worked with Dr Ashok Johari, an eminent Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in Mumbai, India in 2002 for a year and subsequently working as a fellow at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for 20 months. I have also completed the prestigious Pediatric Hand fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.On the research front, I have 22 Publications in peer reviewed journals and 28 International and national presentations. I have been invited as a Paediatric Orthopaedic faculty in several regional and national level conferences and courses/seminars. I have been an integral part of organizing committee for a national level SICOT India – Specialty Orthopaedic Review Course at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital for 5 years in a rowI am sincere, hardworking, honest and conscientious, an absolute team player and put patient’s interests before everything else. Career Pathway and goals I have had the fortunate privilege and opportunity to work as a Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant post my CCT in India and now in UK. This has given me a unique learning experience enriching my clinical skills and research experience that one can get from working in two cultures and two very different healthcare settings including public and private healthcare. I now work as a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Southampton and am developing my practice in the subspecialty of Paediatric & Adolescent knee and Paediatric Hand. I wish to pursue my passion in Academics and Research and at the same time venture into online advice entrepreneurship, giving honest accurate advice at very economical rates.
